Gink & Gasoline
Jeff Hickman of Gink & Gasoline describes the plague of over casting as 'Speyitis'. There is no reason one needs to cast way across the river, even if you can. Successful fishing comes from reading the water and deciding if a long cast will work there. Fish often are inside soft water, so casting way out across the stream into the heavy current can be a waste of time.
