Fall Stockings Underway: Stockings of rainbow trout are underway across the province, including catchable-sized trout on Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland. Please check the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC's Facebook page or stocking reports for up-to-date release information.
95 Millionth Fish: The FFSBC reaches a very exciting milestone this month. On October 8 at Coquitlam's Lafarge Lake, we'll celebrate our 10th anniversary with the release of our 95 millionth fish. The Honourable Steve Thompson, Minister of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations, FFSBC President Don Peterson, and a number of our partners will all be on hand.
Vancouver Island Trout Hatchery Open House: Thanks to everyone who came out to the Vancouver Island Trout Hatchery's Open House on September 14. Over 350 people turned out for guided hatchery tours, demonstrations, and free fishing lessons.
