Pursuit Sport Fishing
The months of February and March have been fantastic for chinook fishing here in Vancouver waters. We have had several charters with a dozen or more hook-ups and as many days with limits of fat, healthy chinook. Crab fishing has been great and prawn fishing on our longer charters has been good.
We are anticipating another great spring of chinook fishing with the arrival of some of the biggest fish of the year in April. Early Fraser river and Squamish river chinook arrive mid April and stick around until late May. Once these early chinook have passed through late May we start to fish Garbriola Island and the Nanaimo area for summer chinook and coho headed towards the Fraser river and Puget Sound rivers. Last spring was exceptional fishing for chinook during April and May so now is the time to book your charter.
We will start to see the big runs of early summer chinook show up mid April. This is a mid strait fishery that we call 'The Hump' as well as around South Bowen island.
Call us now to book your spring chinook charter. Our weekend dates sell out fast. Winter rates on until June 1.
