Buckeye Russ Lane Pitch and Skip jigs
Wired2fish
Late summer and early fall can be a dynamite time to skip docks. Big fish will position on the docks waiting for a passing shad or a homesteading bluegill lunch and nothing beats the subtle skipping action of a jig to get their attention. It may look to them like a skittering baitfish or the fall of a crawfish but there is no doubt they blast it.
Just in time for one of our favorite techniques Buckeye Lures teamed with Elite Series Pro and noted dock skipper Russ Lane to design a compact, yet beefy jig capable of pulling them out of hard to reach areas. They are just now arriving in stores.
The design includes a linear line tie, extra heavy weed guard, and a short shank round bend that keeps the profile small. An extra sticky barb is centered on the shank of the hook to hold trailers. The head has a sloped and flat bottom designed perfectly for skipping and the 3D eyes are built into the head. The jig lays flat with a slightly upward angle to allow the trailer to act like a crawdad in defense mode.
For our latest giveaway we are going to give you the chance to win a Jig Box with 5 of these new Buckeye Russ Lane Pitch and Skip jigs.
