Chilliwack/Vedder River Boxing Day Steelhead Derby
Chilliwack Fish and Game Protective Association
Due the renovations happening to the Chilliwack Fish and Game Protective Association’s clubhouse, the C.F.G.P.A. will not be able to host and sponsor the 74th Annual Chilliwack/Vedder River Boxing Day Steelhead Derby.
However, I am very pleased to say that Fred's Custom Tackle, with the support of the C.F.G.P.A., is going to sponsor a Boxing Day event for all participants of the Wally Hall Derby this year. If you are already in the Wally Hall derby you are welcome to participate on Dec 26th as a bonus to your registration. If you are not registered, simply join the Wally Hall derby before Dec 26th to enjoy prizes for every fish weighed in on Boxing Day.
All proceeds go to the Fraser Valley Watersheds Coalition’s Chilliwack/Vedder River enhancement programs to help Salmon and Steelhead. To date the $30K raised from the Wally Hall Derby has been leveraged to over $60K that goes into enhancement and conservation projects. The C.F.G.P.A is also a proud sponsor of the Fraser Valley Watersheds Coalition’s work with a $10K donation this year from the proceeds of the Chilliwack/Vedder River Boxing Day Steelhead Derbies.
I encourage everyone to support Wally Hall this year. I look forward to seeing you all back for the 2018 Chilliwack/Vedder River Boxing Day Steelhead Derby!
