Banks Lake in Grant and Douglas County in Washington State is about a 2.5 hours drive from the Osoyoos border crossing. It stretches close to 27 miles (43.45 km) and offers great fishing for the serious walleye angler throughout all areas of the lake from March to October.
In the early and late seasons, the best spots to catch walleye are in the north end of the lake near Electric City and Steamboat Rock. As summer and fall move in, the fish will be found throughout the entire lake and currently you can find them at depths up to 50-feet.
The current limit of walleye is eight fish per day, per angler — and a retention slot size of 12- to 22-inches; one fish can be over 22-inches.
