Fishing continues to be hot on the East Coast of Vancouver Island, with plenty of cookie cutter fish passing by our waters, weighing anywhere from 10-15 lbs.
Kitty Coleman and Point Holmes, in the Comox area, seem to be holding a good amount of bait and fish. The French Cr humps are also producing well. Nanaimo has been good too, with fish in tight some days, then out over 1000 ft the next.
Big eye spoons continue to put fish in the box for us; anywhere from a 36" to 60" leader seems to be working well. Depths vary by the day and area: Comox area 160-200 ft, French Cr 180-220 ft, and Nanaimo 125-175 ft.
