Check out the Fishing Report from August 20th, it covers the east side of the island in Nanaimo to the west in Bamfield.

Barkley Sound is on FIRE! Big chinooks have arrived in the sound, but seem to be moving into the Alberni Inlet quickly.

The normal spots at this time of year seem to be producing well, Meares Bluff, Kirby, Fleming, Swale all have their times when the bite is on. I got Mike from Vancouver into these beauty chinooks using lighthouse lures glow pearl teaser heads trolled at 57 & 44 on the downrigger.
