The Best of BC’s Sunshine Coast
Imagine sailing or cruising the coastal waters of British Columbia. Breathtaking and inspiring images come to mind, right? Now imagine being surrounded by five acres of lush forest where majestic Douglas fir, cedar and spectacular Arbutus trees hover over a rugged coastal landscape. Add a contemporary west coast designed resort with outstanding accommodations in waterfront villas. This is a place where peace and calm happen effortlessly because you’ve arrived at Painted Boat Resort Spa & Marina.
Dock your boat and in a leisurely 10 minute stroll through the resort's grounds, you're in Madeira Park where two funky grocery stores loaded with fresh, local and many organic products sit, plus a liquor store and pharmacy, along with galleries and cafes. Between us, the area is outstanding, and truly a fabulous 'nautical' getaway!
Painted Boat Resort Spa and Marina is an exquisite waterfront resort which boasts a protected deepwater marina. It features spacious two bedroom/two bath villas - each with a water view from an oversized patio or deck – creative, locally-sourced cuisine at the restaurant, world-class treatments and wellness programs in the spa, plus a myriad of activities that will stimulate conversation and delight your senses once you hit land.
Pender Harbour, Sunshine Coast Activities
There is an endless array of things to do and see around Painted Boat Resort. It’s true too, that the relaxed atmosphere and breathtaking vistas invite one to do nothing more than lounge by the pool or soak in the hot tub following a robust workout in the resort’s fitness centre. The centre features state-of-the-art equipment and a glassed-in front offering gorgeous views of the pool and the bay beyond.
Yet, should you feel inclined, the hiking trails and bike touring is amazing. The guest services team at the resort can help with arrangements for rentals as well as self-guided or guided tours that might also include artists studios and museums in near-by Madeira Park and Garden Bay.
The Marina
Painted Boat’s deepwater marina is fully protected from the worst storms with space for approximately 60 boats. Renovated in spring of 2014 to accommodate larger vessels (50' and above), the marina’s wharf has designated moorage slips ranging from 20 to 60 feet with a total of 300 feet of short-term moorage.
For guests who choose to dine at the restaurant or have an appointment at the spa, day moorage is complimentary at the resort. For guests who decide to stay overnight in one of the gorgeous coastal contemporary villas as a rest from their waterway journey, the moorage rate is $1.25 per foot plus GST.
And, while the marina does not offer public services such as washrooms, showers or garbage disposal to its marina visitors, optional resort amenities such as the pool, fitness facility and spa garden are available for an additional daily charge. Marina guests are most welcome to partake in dining at the restaurant or indulging in services and treatments at the spa.
