Free Family Event - Water's Edge Day Oct. 3
Georgia Strait Alliance
Did you know that Vancouver has 58 kilometres of waterfront?
With so much shoreline in our immediate proximity, it's hard not to take it for granted. But where the land and sea intersects plays such a significant role in this special place. As part of our ongoing effort to create a new vision for Vancouver's waterfront, we're celebrating this special part of our city in the 2nd annual Water's Edge Day!
Drop by the park at the Vancouver Maritime Museum, in Kitsilano, on October 3 for an all-ages activity fun-day, running from 10am-5pm. All activities are free. We've got canoe tours, bird walking tours, touch tanks from the Vancouver Aquarium, solar catamaran rides, kayaking, arts & crafts, children's entertainers, and free admission to the Vancouver Maritime Museum. There will also be food trucks for when you get hungry. Bring your family and friends; we'll see you there!
Thanks to our partners and sponsors Vancity, the Bullitt Foundation, RBC Blue Water Project, and the Real Estate Foundation of BC for making this day possible!
