One of the greatest challenges to enjoying Kelowna by boat has been magnificently overcome with the construction of the new Kelowna Downtown Marina. Boaters can now, not only get gas and other necessities (like refreshments, snacks and sunblock), but also make use of the itinerant moorage to stroll into downtown to eat, shop, sightsee or enjoy the casinos, shows and events.
68 temporary slips allow boats up to 42’ to dock for an hour, a day or overnight. No boat? No problem. Stroll down the pier to enjoy the view and check the weather, then rent a boat or Sea-Doo to capture the ultimate Okanagan experience. The affordable Chaparral bowriders let you cruise along the lakeshore ogling magnificent waterfront homes, waterfowl, cliffs and the iconic Rattlesnake Island, while the premier Tigé towboats will have you, your family and friends, wakesurfing, wakeboarding and tubing your way to the most memorable vacation ever.
If you’re not in the mood to captain your own vessel, the kiosk also offers tickets to cruises on the commercial vessels nearby where dinner, dancing and live music tempt and tingle all the senses through warm sunny afternoons and under starry night skies.
The maritime gateway to Kelowna’s vibrant downtown is located at the foot of Bernard Avenue. Reserve your moorage or boat rental by emailing info@downtownmarina.ca, call (250) 763-5599 or visit www.downtownmarina.ca.
