Texas Assoc. of Campground Owners
The Texas Association of Campground Owners (TACO) this week announced a major redesign of TexasCabinRentals.net, the six-year-old website that TACO uses to market rental accommodations across the Lone Star State.
“We’re very pleased with the new look and feel to the site,” said Brian Schaeffer, TACO’s CEO, in remarks to 150 campground operators, vendors and industry officials attending TACO’s Spring Meeting and Tradeshow at Guadalupe River RV Resort in Kerrville.
Braden Walker, web director for TXAD Internet Services, used a big projector screen to show park operators how consumers can search for rental accommodations anywhere in Texas simply by entering the name of a city in the search box.
Consumers can then search for parks with rental accommodations within 15 to 100 miles of the city they entered. The search tool lists the parks that are relevant to the search with descriptions that include the numbers and types of rental accommodations available at each park.
Consumers can then click on the hotlinked park name to visit the park website and make their reservations.
TexasCabinRentals.net also includes a blog and a detailed event listing, which links consumers with detailed activity and itinerary sections of TravelTex.com, the travel planning website for the state of Texas.
“We’re excited to see what kind of response the newly designed website delivers for our members,” Schaeffer said.
