TRAIL JAM 2012 - Registration Now Open
I am very pleased to announce the return of another Island4x4 4wheeling event!
We ran this 4wheeling/camping event for a number of years, but have had a hiatus for the last few. I hope that we can start doing this every year again. It's a great way to meet new people, and have a weekend long good time in the woods.
Trail Jam started circa 2001 if memory serves, but for those of you not familiar with it, here are a couple trail reports written by Larry Soo (formally of BC4X4 fame):
http://www.bc4x4.com/tr/2005/trailjam/

This is a camping/trail running event, not a competition. Basically just some good folk getting out in the bush, camping, and 4wheeling together.
Since we are starting up again, we are limited to the amount of trucks we can handle on the four main trail runs of the weekend, but I would like to see others come out and hang with us even if they don't go on the main runs.
There will be two groups of 10 trucks running a trail each day. We will be looking to fill spots on those runs with vehicles and drivers who are prepared to take on the rigours of a couple fairly tough trails. These two groups will have designated trail leaders and tail gunners. Some basic requirements for running these trails are listed below.
In the interest of maximizing participation and the fun of the weekend, I encourage those who don't find themselves listed on the main runs to still come out and camp with us. During the day you are more than welcome to organize your own runs on trails or just do some exploring around the area.
If this interests you, please continue to read this invite, and send in your registration.

How it works:
Send your name and rig specs (including photo) to trailjam2012@island4x4.com by the end of May. Put your name and TJ12 in the subject line. 20 rigs will be selected and notified on the 1st of June along with who is where on the standby list. Priority will go to supporters first and early applicants second. At that point you will have until the 8th of June to pay the entry fee in full or your spot will be offered to the next person on the list. A complete list of passengers/campers will be required by the 10th of June for planning purposes. The groups and trails will be decided based on capabilities of the drivers and the rigs. These will be announced at the campsite on Friday night.
There is lots of camping spots, and some room for trailered rigs.
Runs will leave the campsite at 9am. There will be no waiting so ensure you are there. Further instructions will be given at camp.
