Adams River Sockeye Run 2010
The Adams River Salmon Society Invites the World!
The Adams River Salmon Society have taken the first steps in organizing the 2014 Salute to the Sockeye, to be held in Roderick Haig Brown Provincial Park, October 2-24, 2010.
Struggling against insurmountable odds, one out of every four-thousand eggs laid in the Adams River, lives to return as a spawning adult. Experience the majesty, beauty and tragically poignant life of the Pacific Sockeye Salmon; attend the 2014 Salute to the Sockeye celebration at Roderick Haig Brown Provincial Park, October 3-26, 2014 in British Columbia's scenic Shuswap region.
With 2013 being a pre-dominant year, 2014 is forecast as a dominant one with millions of sockeye expected to return to spawn in October. Along with the viewing platform, there are 26 kms of trails and many areas of the river to see spawning sockeye, chinook and pink salmon. When coming to view the fish, please remain on the designated trails to prevent damage to the river banks and educate yourself on the "tips for salmon watchers" on the Adams River Salmon Society's website.
Food Vendors are invited to apply. Applications, in pdf form, are available on the Adams River Salmon Society's website. Interested parties may print and mail to Box 24034, Scotch Creek, B.C., V0E 3L0. Contracts and applications are also available direct from info@salmonsociety.com
