Nova Scotia Jeep Club Jamboree

by Perry Mack

The 6^th annual Nova Scotia Jeep Club Jeep Jamboree is being held at Fox Mountain Campground in the beautiful Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia, Canada.  It is a family oriented event taking place from June 8^th to 10^th.  According to Luc Brisson, this year’s co-chair, “we’ll be running trails from mild to wild. Last year we had 180 people and over a 100 Jeeps from Nova Scotia, PEI and New Brunswick”.

New this year they will be offering two different weekend packages, one with and one without a meal plan.  However both packages will include 3 nights of camping, a T shirt, 2 days of guided trail rides, entertainment in the evenings, an RTI ramp and mud pit, plus one ticket for the prize draws.  Some of the prizes last year included tires, winches, lift kits and more - close to $10,000 in value.

Another terrific feature is free repair labour at the base camp, you pay only for the parts. The guys at CVO have unveiled a Jeep build for the last 3 Jams and you can expect something terrific from them again this year. Also of note for 2012, it’s APJ’s 15th anniversary and they expect National 4WD and Peck Auto will also be at the event. Luc Brisson says, “If you are a Jeep owner this is the ‘Event of the Year’ in the Maritimes”.

Visit their web site at http://www.nsjcjamboree.ca  and you’ll find more information, requirements, pricing and the registration form, This event is entirely staffed by volunteers,  “Our reward is your Jeep covered in mud and the smile on your faces”.
