Kalamalka Classic Paddleboard Festival
Saturday & Sunday, Sept. 3 & 4, 2016 at Kalamalka Lake beach, Vernon, BC
Welcome to Canada’s biggest (and funnest) Standup Paddleboard Festival, now heading into its 7th year. Widely recognized as the largest festival of it’s kind in Canada, the ‘Kal Classic’ is staged on the colourful waters of Kalamalka Lake and is expected to draw over 250 paddlers from across North America.
The ‘Kal Classic’ features events for all ages, both recreational and competitive. It’s the kind of event that combines competitive spirit with the laid-back vibe of the Okanagan. Some events are just for beginners and intermediate paddlers, while others will challenge even the fittest of athletes. Bring the kids – there’s plenty of fun for them too!
Saturday’s events are even more spectator friendly with short courses and relays for kids and adults of all skill levels.

Events start on Thursday, Sept. 1 (Pre-race clinic) and Friday. The festival itself is on Saturday & Sunday. Click here for complete schedule.
Goals for 2016: To raise more than $2,500 for the Protection of Kalamalka Lake and to have 200+ people cross the lake on Sunday, September 4th.
