2016 Vernon Yacht Club Boat & Leisure Show

April 30 & May 1

The Vernon Yacht Club welcomes the public to our clubhouse, docks and grounds to enjoy a weekend of all-ages fun activities and Okanagan boating, watersport and recreational vendors. The VYC Boat Show is run by over 80 volunteers and a hand full of invaluable staff and proceeds go into featuring our vendors. Please bring a non-perishable food item or donation for the Salvation Army Food Bank.

Boat Show Dates & Times:

• Saturday, April 30th - from 9am to 4:30pm
• Sunday, May 1st from 9am to 4pm

The 2016 Boat & Leisure Show is located grounds, docks and parking lot areas of the Vernon Yacht Club. To get to the event:

• Please park at Marshall Field 6891 Okanagan Landing Rd.
• From there take the FREE Kal Tire Shuttle (runs every 10 minutes from Marshall Field to VYC)
• Children in car seats can be dropped off at The Vernon Yacht Club and onsite parking is available for the disabled.

Come and enjoy VYC Sailboat Rides, NOSA Dinghy games, Tanya Lipscomb’s children’s entertainment and face-painting, Nakusp student’s tri-flasher lure and EZ flint demos, a Saturday 11am NASA Hydrofoil presentation, Remote Control Boats, Vernon Telescope’s “The Eagle Has Landed” Children’s Adventure and prize, and the McLellan Formula 1 Boat Speed Demos Saturday 1pm and Sunday 12noon.

The VYC Clubhouse, wraparound balcony and Gangplank Bar is open for refreshments and a Burger and Hot Dog Barbeque with all the trimmings and side dishes to choose from.
