Outdoor enthusiasts can partake in a multitude of watersports at any one of the 1,600 lakes and rivers within a 100km (62 mi) radius, or stroll along the City's Centennial Trail, 30km (19 mi) of maintained walking trails. They can also ski, snowshoe, and bike at Otway Nordic Centre, Canada's only fully lit 10km (6 mi) of cross-country ski trails. There are accessible trails that weave through serene forests beside calming streams at the Great West Life Mobility Trail or BC's newest Provincial Park, the Ancient Forest/Chun T'oh Whudujut Provincial Park.
Get outside, experience Prince George's wilderness, and then spend the evening appreciating the amenities of Northern BC's largest city.
Nourish your body with locally crafted food that reflects the northern region. Unwind by meandering through local museums, galleries, and historic sites. Attend a festival or community event and mingle with the people that call this place home.
