As the summer grows to a close, many families are packing up from summer vacations and heading back home. For many, fall marks a time for back to school, back to work and the warmth of summer is quickly forgotten.
Don’t put away that swimsuit just yet. With the weather forecast predicting a warmer fall than normal, why not schedule a fall getaway? Here’s why:
Affordability - The shoulder season – the period after summer and before winter holidays is often cheaper, and means better deals for vacationers.
Nature – Explore the beautiful fall colours during this picturesque time of year. Many resort destinations offer beautiful landscapes, perfect for this time of year. For example, Rondalyn Resort and Oceanside RV Resort on Vancouver Island offer secluded, and treed covers for the ultimate fall setting.
Relaxation – Let’s face it, fall can be hectic. With back to school and back to work, life can get chaotic quickly. What better a time to take a weekend off from the grind and enjoy the pre-winter weather while relaxing with family and friends.
Discovery – Fall is the perfect time of year to head outside and discover. Many Canadian cities and towns host a wealth of fun fall activities including festivals, concerts, tours and much more. For instance, Gallagher Lake Resort in Oliver BC is nestled in the heart of Okanagan Wine Country – you can enjoy the fall wine festivals or take part in your own grape-stomp!
Fall Weather – It’s true that fall weather can be unpredictable. But, it’s a win-win for vacationers. If the fall is warm vacationers can enjoy swimming, fishing, kayaking and much more. If the weather is a little chillier, vacationers can enjoy a cozy campfire, a brisk fall walk, or an indoor-pool swim. At all three of our BC resorts, you can curl up next to a campfire with s’mores, or relax in the peaceful, yet cool fall settings with your favourite cup of tea and a good book.
