Calgary is a dynamic city located on the banks of the majestic and winding Bow River. It's close to Alberta's rugged Rocky Mountains, and home to what is in all liklihood, the province's best-known visitor attraction - The Calgary Stampede. This event draws more than one million people and offers up a large parade, world-class rodeo, exhibitions, livestock shows and much more. The Canada Olympic Park is also located here, and boasts an athletic facility equipped for skiing, snowboarding, bobsleigh and luge during the winter and mountain biking during the summer. The Calgary Saddledome is the home building of the Calgary Flames, as well as home for many musical and cultural events and concerts throughout the year.
