Bellevue Coal Mine Museum
At the turn of the century, Jules Fleutot and C. Remy of British Columbia Gold Fields Limited, came to the south-west of Alberta to prospect for coal. Remington Carriage Museum
With over 240 carriages, wagons and sleighs, the Remington Carriage Museum houses the largest collection of horse-drawn vehicles in North America, and is widely recognized as one of the finest such collections in the world. Located only minutes from Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta, and Glacier National Park in Montana, it is open year-round, seven days a week. The Empress Theatre at Fort MacLeod
The Empress Theatre was built in 1910 as part of western Canada's live and film theatre renaissance. Though initially a Famous Players establishment, it later went on to operate independently. Like many theatres of the period, it didn't just show the old black and white silent films and, a little later on, the “talkies”, it was a vaudeville house, concert and lecture hall, and live theatre. The World's Tallest Teepee
The world's tallest tepee, the Saamis Teepee (built for the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics), stands more than 20 stories high and has a base diameter of 50m. Cypress Hills, Alberta
About half-way between Calgary and Regina, Cypress Hills Inter-provincial Park offers two different access points – from the Alberta side or from the Saskatchewan side.
