Dawson Creek has endless activities and experiences to be had in all seasons. Winter adventure is plentiful in Dawson Creek and when the sun is shining in a bright blue sky, the light glistening off the snow covered landscapes is truly inspirational.

Dawson Creek’s Attractions
Every winter Dawson Creek becomes filled with colourful lights. If you venture downtown you will notice something is missing. Each winter the famous Mile ‘0’ Post is replaced with a Christmas tree standing 15 feet over your head. The Mile ‘0’ Post is moved one block north to our Visitor Centre, located in the Northern Alberta Railways (NAR) Park. The Visitor Centre is located inside the historic NAR Railway Station. The Station has three museums pertaining to local culture and history. Swing by to see the old-time decorations spread throughout the original 1931 Station.
This winter, the NAR Park will be decorating the NAR Blue Caboose to celebrate winter and the holiday season. It will be a great photo op!
Starting in November the Dawson Creek Art Gallery is bursting with holiday cheer. The walls are decorated with local art and the gift shop is filled with great gift ideas and local artisan goodies.
If you are in need of some indoor entertainment this winter the South Peace Multiplex has an array of facilities and activities for everyone to enjoy. The Encana Events Centre is Dawson Creeks premiere entertainment facility. Dawson Creek is buzzing about Blue Rodeo in January, Dean Brody in February and Chicago playing in March. For a full schedule of the performances check out www.dawsoncreekeventscentre.com.
