The new Escape 21’travel trailer was recently unveiled at the 2013 Escape Trailer Rally in Osoyoos, BC. Over 87 escape trailers were in attendance with roughly 170 people enjoying swimming, golf, wine tours, an antique car show and a Bocce Tournament.
“The laughter could be heard throughout the campground as new friends were made and a glass of wine shared”, said Tammy Harmatiuk of Escape Trailer Industries, “One of the best things about the rally is that the friendships offer opportunity for camping experiences that otherwise may have been missed. Plans have already begun for next year’s rally which will be June 6th – 8th, 2014.”
The new 21’ floor plan is unique for Escape Trailer Industries as it offers a bed in the front with a dinette in the back. Molded fiberglass trailers are known for their lightweight, durability and longevity. The 100% molded fiberglass body is made in a two-piece mold. The upper and lower halves are bonded together before the shell is demolded and bolted to the frame. Anchor blocks are fiberglassed in strategic points inside the trailer to which interior walls and natural oak cabinetry are securely mounted, creating a solid, structurally sound interior/exterior which is easy to clean and completely waterproof.
There are many key features about the Escape, which make it lightweight and aerodynamic, keeping travel costs to a minimum. With a dry weight of only 2900lbs, the Escape 21’ has been designed specifically for mid sized vehicles such as SUVs and mid-sized trucks.
The design includes a low center of gravity for better road stability and low wind resistance or drag when in tow. This combined with the rubber torsion suspension axle not only reduces vibration while traveling but also provides independent suspension and is maintenance free.
