Richard's Travel Land: A Proud Supporter of Canadian Manufacturers

            With a solid foundation of 35 years RV experience to stand on, Richard Kayduk of his namesake company, Richard's Travel Land (RTL) –  also proudly stands behind Canadian RV brands. 

            “At RTL I sell only high quality, well built units,” Kayduk states, “I will stock other brands that meet these standards, but try to focus on selling mainly Canadian-manufactured lines. The overall quality, durability and price of our 'home grown' units I've found to exceed those of the out-of-country ones. These days, what with the closing of most of the manufacturing companies in Canada, it's not always easy to have strictly Canadian units... but I still try my best!”

            Located at #112 - 2565 Main Street, in West Kelowna British Columbia, RTL has the niche market on previously owned RV s. With brands like Travelaire, Citation and Okanagan available, Kayduk also sells the new Adventurer truck campers (Slumber Queen) which are – of course – locally manufactured in Abbotsford, BC.

            In addition to his new/used sales, this “one man show” (with the exception of one part-time employee - and in summer break from university - his son) also offers RV servicing. Though, not an 'on-site' service centre, he instead employs the mobile services of a local man – another “one man show” himself – who comes to Travel Land when needed. 

            “I think it's important to support not only local, but Canadian companies and businesses as well”, Kayduk shared, “I've worked in the RV business for 10 years in Grand Prairie, AB and for 25 years in the Okanagan (Penticton, Summerland and Westbank, BC), and have dealt with an assortment of different units that are manufactured both in and outside of Canada. What I came to learn early on is that, by far, our Canadian-built RVs, campers, (and the like), really do withstand the test of time.”  Kayduk pauses,  “That's one of the main reasons that I choose to carry as many top quality Canadian units on the lot as I can... I only have room to stock 25 units, so I make sure that I sell only the best – you won't ever find a 'junk row' of poorly built  units on my lot.”
