Kampgrounds of America Inc. has purchased the Moab, Utah KOA from franchisees Greg and Susan Robinson, making it the 28th campground in KOA’s Company-Operated Properties Division.
The campground has been a part of the Kampgrounds of America system in North America for the past 49 years and is located near both Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park, and is surrounded by great access to hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, white-water rafting, paleontology sites and off-roading ATV trails.
The Moab KOA’s occupancy has grown from under 20,000 nights in 2011 to more than 32,500 nights in 2015. The campground now includes 98 full-hookup RV sites; 37 water and electric RV sites; 28 tent sites; 22 camping cabins; and 26 deluxe cabins, for a total of 211 sites and accommodations. It also offers a variety of on-site amenities, including a swimming pool, mini-golf, three dog walk areas, horseshoes and a playground.
Several capital improvement projects and amenities to add to the park is currently in the planning stages.
