We planted a seed and watched it grow. That's how Ontario RV Owners (ORVO) commenced from its humble beginnings five years ago as a small Facebook Group to serve a plethora of RV enthusiasts who have a passion for the lifestyle.
Our evolution has been remarkable. The original group administrators watched ORVO expand from a few dozen transient and seasonal RVers to a membership of nearly 27,000; many coin themselves ‘ORVOites.’
The image of the ORVO has rapidly become a recognized community of connected members. The designated Facebook Group is an online space for positive exchanges of information about ‘all things RVing.’
The ORVO is a peer-to-peer experience. Members can reach out to each other and discuss many topics including destinations, personal adventures, RV insurance plus DIY tricks, tips, and troubleshooting - all in real-time.
Since its launch, ORVO has increased its representation at RV shows and related events across the province. Most recently, the team has been working with the Ontario Recreational Vehicle Dealers Association (ORVDA) to host a meet-and-greet lounge at the 2023 Toronto Fall RV Show, allowing members to socialize and introduce new RVers to its crew. The show is held from October 13 - 15 at the Toronto Congress Centre.

In May 2023, ORVO took a giant step by launching a member's rally. The weekend of events and gathering of members was held at Quinte's Isle Campark in Prince Edward County. More than 100 attendees came from across Ontario and was such a success that there were discussions about a second annual rally, which was inevitable given that the number of tickets sold within 48 hours exceeded expectations.
With plans in the works to host a rally in May 2024, the attendance is anticipated to double. The ORVO team has been working diligently behind the scenes to not only host a larger rally but include new events and even more excitement.
The ORVO is managed by a handful of volunteers. With its popularity, the time and commitment to represent the group at various events and to host an annual RV rally has increased substantially. However, the crew is committed to keeping ORVO a continued success with the assistance of sponsorships and donations.
There's no doubt ORVO has become one of the top social media influencers representing RV living. Its website, an Instagram page, and the ORVO's Facebook Group have become a virtual campfire where members can congregate and learn everything about the RV lifestyle.
