Dometic said it is donating more than $400,000 worth of products to Habitat for Humanity to assist volunteers and victims of hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria while homes are being rebuilt.
“We are saddened to hear the news of these recent natural disasters and see the difficult images of the associated damage to the community and families,” Scott Nelson, president of Dometic, said in a statement. “Dometic is committed to supporting Habitat for Humanity and its efforts to help the victims of the hurricanes and to start the rebuilding process.”
Among the products being donated are 200 portable refrigerator/freezers, 162 generators and more than eight million rolls of toilet paper.
Dometic’s marine division is in Pompano Beach, Fla., so Irma hit close to home. The facility was damaged and lost power, but no one was hurt.
