The award-winning directory is also available in digital format
The 2015 print version of Camp-California! The Camper’s Guide to California, can now be ordered free of charge through Camp-California.com.
“If you order one through Camp-California.com, all we ask is that you cover the cost of postage,” said Debbie Sipe, executive director of the California Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds (CalARVC).
The 80-page guide received the State Directory of the Year Award from the National Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds in the latest competition involving state campground associations.
CalARVC printed 200,000 copies of the Camp-California! Guide this year. The guides are being distributed at all California Camping World locations, Bass Pro Super Stores, all 14 California Welcome Centers, the California RV Show, as well as through CalARVC member parks, RV dealers and service centers.
The guide is also available in digital format on Camp-California.com, the statewide travel planning website. Last year, more than 10,000 digital copies have also been downloaded or accessed through desktop options, iTunes and Google Play, averaging nine page views and 1.3 links clicked every time the guide was accessed digitally.
The Camp-California! guide lists nearly 700 public and privately owned campgrounds throughout California. Available in print and digital formats, the guide received a favorable review from the Los Angeles Times last this year.
The print version of the directory is easy to use and includes statewide and regional maps, simple-to-view amenity grids, as well as tourist information, including listings of regional events and articles on things to see and do in each region of the state.
This year’s print version also features articles on topics ranging from RV clubs to vintage RVs as well as advertisements from campground and RV resort chains like Cruise Inn and Equity LifeStyle Properties / Thousand Trails to companies that provide unique services to RV enthusiasts, such as RV Roofing Solutions.
The digital version of the guide also fully integrated with Camp-California.com and includes numerous imbedded videos as well as links that enable consumers to access additional articles and information on travel and destination topics of interest to them.
Camp-California.com was written in HTML5 and is responsive in nature, so it can adapt to any kind of electronic device that is used to access the site, from iPhones and tablets to desktop computers.
