Black Magic

Our truck is aptly named Black Magic. Its a 2006 F350 that my wife and I purchased several years ago and have been slowly building up to the truck you see now. It took just over 2 years of hard work to complete with this latest engine upgrade.
It’s a freshly machined 6.0 Block with Carrillo Billet rods and Fireball's latest ceramic coating on the pistons; a custom ground cam shaft, valve train upgrades including stage three push rods and heavy springs. In addition to a custom tuning by Innovative Diesel it has 205 injectors and a VGT-HO Turbo as well as an EGR delete kit. It also has Bank's intercooler, a High Ram intake and Billet torque converter with 4:88 posi gears driving the 37-inch Yokohama tires for a final drive ratio of approx. 4:35 (think Ford Drag Pack).
The suspension includes an 8.5-inch lift with airbags and ladder bars. Other odds and ends include twin pyros to monitor both sides of the engine and a Magnaflow "Black Series" exhaust.
We've only had the opportunity to one test and tune session. The truck weighs in at 8338 lbs with me in it. On the street tune, the numbers crunch out at 637hp at the wheels. There are still a lot of bugs to work out and our future plans include: methanol injection, larger intercooler, and the possibility of upgrading to compounds.
