EDELBROCK HELPS OUT JEEP 4.0L WITH NEW PERFORMANCE CYLINDER HEADS
This new performance cylinder head is designed as a bolt-on upgrade for 1987-2006 Jeeps with a 4.0L inline six-cylinder engine. The Performer Jeep cylinder head features improved flow intake and exhaust ports along with a modern combustion chamber design with backcut and swirl polished valves. It retains the stock valve angle, pushrod length, and valve cover rail height, for use with factory components and off the shelf accessories. It also features larger reinforced rocker bosses for improved strength at high RPM and Heli-Coil threaded inserts in the manifold boltholes for added strength. A ¾-in deck throughout the head also promotes stiffness and durability. This cylinder head is machined to accept either distributor or coil pack ignition.
It is designed with 1991-2006 4.0L intake port locations and must be used with a 1991-2006 intake manifold. The head is designed with 1991-98 4.0L exhaust port locations and must be used with 1991-98 factory header or aftermarket exhaust header. This cylinder head will also fit 1976-90 AMC 4.2L engines with no modification to the water jacket and the appropriate intake manifold and header combination.
This cylinder head is pending 50-state emission legal for 4.0L engines when used with factory Fuel Injection components. It’s also pending 50-state emission legal for 4.2L engines when used with a Mopar Fuel Injection Conversion Kit.

Rigid LED Lights
RIGID INDUSRIES RELEASE SAE COMPLIANT LED LIGHTS
Rigid Industries' SAE Compliant lights include the Dually Fog light Set and the 6-in E-Series Auxiliary High Beam Driving Light Set. These SAE Compliant lights allow Rigid Industries LED Lights to be used on-the-road and not just off-road.
SAE is comprised of a number of working groups of automotive and lighting engineers that work with industry studies and other experts to set standards. SAE sets the standards for pretty much everything on a vehicle, from how bright or dim a brake light can be, to lens coatings (in some cases) to thermal performance, to colour specification (is that red brake light really red, or more pink-ish?). While SAE is not law in most areas, it is a best-practices standard that the entire automotive world pays attention to. Comparing SAE numbers usually gives a good level-playing-field comparison between lights. SAE publishes thousands of standards, each one numbered. Within each standard, there are usually “Classes” that specify performance. When a vendor says “SAE Compliant” on their website or literature, they should also specify the Standard number and the Class. Without it, the term “SAE compliant” is meaningless. Rigid Industries SAE Compliant Dually Fog Light Set follows the SAE J583 Class and the Rigid Industries SAE Compliant Auxiliary High Bean Driving Light Set follows the SAE J581Class.

KRC Transmission Cooler
TRANSMISSION COOLING FROM KRC
KRC has revealed a useful cooling fix for power steering systems and automatic transmissions. Using the radiator principle and combining it with two innovative elements, internal micro fins and external serpentine fins, they have attained impressive heat dissipation.
Impressive heat dissipation can be elusive. But by channeling the fluid through multiple internal micro fins located within four flat-sided oval extrusions, KRC succeeded in reducing fluid temperatures by 22-degrees F. The temperature difference is measured between fluid entering the inlet port and exiting the outlet port.
Furthermore, as the heat transfers through the micro fins and the extrusion walls, its dissipation is hastened when it reaches a dense maze of serpentine fins. Attached to the external surfaces by a technology known as furnace brazing the serpentine fins, though almost invisible to the naked eye, are themselves festooned with a multitude of tiny louvered fins.
At the rear of the cooler, a vertical plate runs its length with angled slots and the letters KRC notched out. Their objective, particularly the angled slots, is to create turbulence. The turbulence generates a negative pressure that disrupts the airflow, which further improves cooling performance. Importantly, the cooler exhibits minimum flow restriction, hence a minimum pressure-drop that further aids cooling performance.
