RCH Designs & Intrepid Off Road
RCH Designs (#4411) and Intrepid Off Road (#4455) join together to race for a cure. On Saturday October 6, 2012 RCH Designs and Intrepid Off Road will compete in the M.O.R.E (Mohave Off-Road Enthusiasts) 7th Annual Powder Puff Race. This is an all female off-road race held in the desert of Barstow, CA.
Terra Hagel, co-owner of RCH Designs & Lorna Mildice, co-owner of Intrepid Off Road, will compete in Ultra4 car #4411, tackling approximately 100 miles of off-road terrain.
Car #4411 (previously owned and driven by Dean Bulloch) is use to climbing tough rock obstacles and racing wide-open desert in the Ultra4 series including, the King of the Hammers race held in Johnson Valley, CA. As the new owner of this Ultra4/KOH car, Terra Hagel is looking forward to tackling the desert terrain in Barstow during practice and of course race weekend.
“This will by my second time competing in the M.O.R.E Powder Puff Race, though this time is sure to be different. In 2009 the vehicle I drove (a Polaris RZR) had a max speed of 35mph, laughed Terra. Our #4411 car with its LS1 motor has a top speed of, well…let's just say it’s a bit faster!”
Yes, this is an all girls race, but don’t think our men aren’t out there to support us and have as much fun, if not more, than we will. From the costumes, team shirts and the always-fun slogans/team names that come along with the Powder Puff race. Though not in the driver seat for this race, the men really know how to take charge and dress the part when it comes to racing for awareness and supporting the ladies.
As of yet the #4411 is the only Ultra4 car competing in this years Powder Puff race. So spread the word, we’d love to see a few more Ultra4 entries before race day.
“Our goal is always to have fun, but on a more serious note, as many of you out there, I too have loved ones I’ve lost to the fight and loved ones that have won the fight against the evilness of cancer; so this race is a bitter sweet opportunity for me to raise awareness and funds for cancer research all while mixing it up in the dirt with friends and family.”
