October 2013 marked a new milestone in TMR Custom’s growth, we moved into our new facility located in Newmarket Ontario, 40-minutes north of Toronto. The new location is comprised of 6,500 sq-ft of office, showroom, manufacturing and warehouse space. After taking some time to move in and get settled, it was time to blow open the doors and host our second annual Open House on Sunday May 4th.
With over $2,500 in prizes available all that was required was some good weather. We hosted over 400 people and had over 200 off-road vehicles present, all of which were eligible for the prize draws. Prizes were given out five at a time every hour throughout the day. The Grand Prize was a TMR Customs rear 4-link kit with coilover towers. Once again, Carol Ann Darling was our MC for the event. She did a fantastic job keeping the crowd entertained and the prizes flowing.
As Canada’s largest hardcore off-road parts manufacturer our Open House was a great opportunity to show customers how their parts come to life. We ran a CNC machining demonstration on our Mazak QTS200 turning centre, which showcased the machining process for our 2.5-in dimple dies. The rest of our shop was wide open allowing everyone to get a first hand look at our machinery and equipment.
We organized a charity BBQ in support of the OF4WD, who sent out a wealth of volunteers to take care of the barbequing duties. We give 100% of all money raised to the OF4WD to support trail maintenance and development projects. The volunteers had some additional help this year as Tony from the Rubicon Grill supplied his catering trailer and commercial BBQ’s. Many thanks to Tony for his assistance. The response was amazing. This year over $1,600 was raised for the OF4WD, besting our 2013 total of $1,105.
Our Western Canadian Distributor, Rick Campagna, from E-Mortal Customs flew out for the weekend to visit our new shop and assist with the event. Rick was a huge help when it came to prepping for the show. His knowledge of TMR Custom’s products really helped with assisting customers in our showroom the day of the event.
There were also a number of local shops that came out for the day. Familiar names like Off-Road Addiction, CREW Fab, CT Motorsports, Autoworks Off-Road, Just Jeeps, Drivetec, Keystone Automotive and Mega Steel were all in attendance.
We would like to thank all our fantastic customers who came out to support TMR Customs at our Grand Re-Opening. The event would not have been possible without the help and support of friends, family and staff. We are already planning and looking forward to next year’s event. We guarantee it will be even bigger and better!
