Racing for Kids – Vegas to Reno
Bear is going south to race his chariot “The Rental” in the charity fundraiser “Racing for the Kids.”By Andrew Ayres
Headed by owner ‘Bear’, the Bear Trax 4x4 crew out of Edmonton, AB is heading to Nevada for the General Tire “Vegas to Reno” race, August 15-17. While there, they will be raising, not only the reputation for the off road muscle we Canadians can muster, but also dollars for a cause that saves children’s lives - the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation (SCHF)
Bear is going south to race his chariot “The Rental” in the charity fundraiser “Racing for the Kids.” Only at the SCHF can children in Western and Northern Canada receive acute care in a facility specializes in pediatric services. Servicing over 6.6 million square kilometers of land, it is one of the largest health regions in the world; representing 1.7 million children. This is where they must go to receive specialized complex surgeries and treatments.
Bear shares a core value with the foundation he supports —“be phenomenal. We are leaders...exceeding potential and inspiring those we deal with to exceed theirs. Our work creates powerful stories...we are passionate about our goal and will go above and beyond...we create ‘wow’ experiences — our impact stands out.”
When you meet Bear, and you see the result of his steadfastly applied passion, you will know he means business when it comes to being phenomenal. Racing to win for the children epitomizes the stereotypical Canadian cliché of excessive common courtesy. Stay tuned for the kick ass coverage of the Vegas to Reno event; his-story in the making.
