Pacific Performance Xcelerator Tuners
Summit Racing Equipment
Pacific Performance Engineering (PPE) is all that when it comes to developing performance parts for GM’s Duramax diesels. Not only does PPE dyno-test its stuff on a state-of-the-art Mustang dynamometer, it also conducts real-world tests on its own trucks in places like Death Valley and the Rocky Mountains.
Summit Racing offers PPE’s Xclerator Tuners in three versions:
Standard Xcelerator
This tuner provides better throttle response and shifting characteristics for stock engines with upgrades like cold air intakes and cat- or turbo-back exhaust systems. The Xcelerator has five power tuning levels to add from 40 to 225 horsepower and up to 335 lbs.-ft. of torque (depending upon vehicle model). Features include:
• Speedometer corrections for 25-44.75 inch diameter tires in 1/4 inch increments
• Adjusts speed limiter from 40 to 96 MPH in one MPH increments
• Adjusts for axle gear ratios from 2.73 to 5.13
* Reads and clears DTCs
* Reads real-time data for engine diagnostics
* Transmission reset and quick learn feature
• DPF regeneration (LMM engine)
• Online updates available
Economy Xcelerator
The Economy Xcelerator tuners provide three horsepower settings (40, 90, and 120) and can increase torque by up to 200 lbs.-ft. over stock. It has the same adjustability and data features as the Standard Xcelerator tuner.
Hot +2 ET Xcelerator
This is the tuner for drag racing or off-road racing engine swaps. Designed for use with PPE’s stand-alone wiring harness, the Hot +2 ET provides up to ten levels of additional horsepower and torque—up to 425 horsepower and 620 lbs.-ft. of torque (varies by application). The tuner allows you to remove transmission torque limits. That eliminates defueling for full power and aggressive upshifts to help improve elapsed times. Other features include:
• Allows use of racing diesel fuels as required by a sanctioning body
• Eliminates the need for an OEM body control module
• Disables ignition key security (engine will start and run in any application)
• Engine will start and run in any race or marine configuration with or without a transmission
• Transmission reset and quick learn feature for faster transmission relearn
• Speedometer corrections for 27-44 inch diameter tires in 1/4 inch increments
• Adjustable speed limiter (40 to 200 MPH in 1 MPH increments)
• Increases rev limit from 3,200 to 5,000 rpm
• Adjusts for axle gear ratios from 2.73 to 5.13
• Reads real-time data for engine diagnostics and code clearing
• Disables factory air conditioning
The Hot +2 ET Xcelerator requires aftermarket gauges. A racing cam, ported heads, and a turbo upgrade are highly recommended for maximum power. And big surprise, the tuner is for racing and off-road use only.

Other Stuff Worth Knowing: Running out of fuel in your modified Duramax, Powerstroke, or Cummins truck? A Pacific Performance Engineering Dual Fueler Kit will help deliver the fuel your truck needs. The kit includes a belt-driven Bosch CP3 injector pump that works with the OEM CP3 injector pump to essentially double fuel pump capacity and deliver the fuel volume needed to feed a modified truck.
