Team Pro Comp driver Mike Johnson captured second place at the 2014 Smittybilt Every Man Challenge during the King of the Hammers off-roading event. Johnson finished with a time of 6 hours 22 minutes in the 4500 Rubicon Express Modified Class held February 6. According to Johnson, his Jeep’s Pro Comp Xtreme Mud Terrain 2 tires figured prominently in his podium run.
“The Pro Comp Xtreme MT2s were by far the best tire I’ve ever run in the rocks and they were great in the desert, too,” says Johnson. “We had a high PSI and they hooked up amazingly. I was beyond impressed and it’s great that you can buy these tires.”
He finished the entire 120-mile race through punishing terrain without experiencing any flat tires.
“This race result is a true testament to the performance of the new Pro Comp Xtreme MT2 tire,” says Pro Comp Tire Director of Sales and Marketing, Steve Hutchinson. “We’re honored to be associated with Mike and are proud of him for this achievement.”
