The Rigs & Rides Show was conceived in 2012 and will become a reality on June 3, 2016. This will be a consumer show with exhibitors showcasing EVERYTHING for ANYTHING on wheels ... Jeeps, Trucks, UTV’s, SUV’s, Classics, Muscles, Tuners, Mini Vans, Daily Drivers, Motorcycles, Scooters etc.
As a consumer show we are open to the public to come down and shop amongst the industries top retailers, wholesalers, OEM’s, service providers, installers, and custom fabricators. See some of the coolest and newest products available and be inspired to customize your ride.
The ‘ah ha’ moment came to us in the late spring; earlier in the year we attended the Vancouver International Auto Show and the BC Classic Custom Car Show, two high profile automotive events in our market. First we have a show that showcases new manufactured vehicles fresh off the assembly line, and second we have a show that showcases customized, done up, finished vehicles; but what about the in between?
Where do automotive consumers find businesses to provide them with all the options of what they CAN do to their vehicles? And where can these businesses connect face to face with consumers? We can all find business on google, and anyone can get a website these days but to visually see, touch, and feel work, products and/or services being showcased really gives consumers confidence to entrust their vehicles amongst our show exhibitors. The atmosphere of a consumer show allows attendees to shop and compare in a comfortable setting which takes away the intimidation of feeling committed by walking into one single show room or shop.
When - June 3-5 2016 (Just in time to get your ride ready for the summer season)
Where - Tradex Abbotsford
Here's just a few of the show highlights/features:
- Jamie Davis of Discovery Channel’s Highway Through Hell - 2 day show appearance/ autograph session with some of his fleet vehicles on display
- Community Fund - $1 from each paid admittance will go to our community fund. Our community fund will be a 50/50 split between a charitable donation to The Matthew House (www.mattshouse.ca) and a scholarship. Students attending or hoping to attend any post secondary course that is automotive related can apply for scholarship funding by submitting an essay format application to info@rigsandrides.ca.
- Gemstone Nitrous Lounge will provide live entertainment and cold adult beverages from a local brewery
- Ladies Lane will be an area dedicated to our female audience and will include an area for express spa services from Opal Spa and their mobile team.
- Kid’s Pit will be a pit stop for kids to find entertainment and activities while their parents shop amongst the exhibitors.
Stay tuned and follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for many more announcements, features and contests to come.
To give an example of who one of our exhibitors is and what they do, here's a brief description and pictures of a current custom build by Back40 Mechanical.
