Our Sunday morning trail day started out as usual by getting up early and meeting at Timmies for 9:30 am. Little did we know that the run that was planned for the day, would turn out to be a not-so-planned run. We made our way up the mountain to the entrance of Greyback, aired down and set out for a great day of snow wheeling. We followed path after path trying to find the right trail but every choice resulted in a dead-end, sending us back the way we came. After five hours wheeling around the mountain, which included a multitude of U-turns, we somehow managed to get ourselves back to the beginning. The lesson of the day was to always come prepared for a longer trip than expected. Even though we did not find the right path as planned, we enjoyed a full day of true exploring and adventure.
