Rigid Industries
Both Toyota and its factory-backed racing division, Toyota Racing Development (TRD), have a strong heritage in the dirt, and the TRD Pro draws on both companies’ history in racing Baja with a specialized model geared to enhance off-road capability. When TRD wanted to enhance the lighting capability of the Tacoma, it was natural for the company to tap Rigid Industries, who is highly respected in the off-road LED lighting industry. Rigid Industries is proud to announce that the 2017 Tacoma TRD Pro will feature unique, TRD-specification Rigid Industries LED fog lamps as standard equipment.
The TRD Pro Series is far more than just an appearance package. Since its debut two years ago, the TRD Pro Series has packed the Tacoma, Tundra, and 4Runner with hardcore off-road gear. The 2017 Tacoma TRD Pro raises the bar on this specialized off-road package with items such as a locking rear differential, Crawl Control, a Multi-Terrain Select traction control system, and TRD-tuned FOX Internal Bypass shocks. TRD-tuned front and rear springs further enhance capability over a standard Tacoma. Since the off-road fun does not stop when the sun goes down, TRD chose to equip the 2017 Tacoma TRD Pro with Rigid’s cutting-edge lighting technology.
Rigid Industries LED fog lights draw on the company’s own desert-racing heritage. Compliant to SAE Standard J583, the Rigid Industries LED fog lights on the 2017 Tacoma TRD Pro are built to TRD-specifications to be street-legal and help enhance visibility on or off the trail. The lights are compact, sleek and at just 1x2, they pack a serious punch. The fog lights project a long-range high intensity beam, while the LEDs draw very little power. Rigid’s unique patent pending design and superior quality allows the low-profile design of the lights to blend into the custom bezel situated just below the grille in the bumper. Featuring the Clarilux™ lenticular lens and aluminum alloy housing with an advanced heat sink, these LED fog lights are designed with quality and rugged durability in mind.
All 2017 Tacoma TRD Pro’s will benefit from Rigid’s superior LED lighting technology, which is proudly assembled in the USA. The 2017 Tacoma TRD Pro will be arriving in dealerships across the country in the fall of 2016. For more information on the new Tacoma TRD Pro, visit www.toyota.com.
