— Alamo Fiesta RV Resort in Boerne: Located in the German heritage town of Boerne, this 220-site, pet-friendly park includes mostly pull-through RV sites and rental cabins. The park can be used as a convenient base camp for trips into San Antonio, as well as the Texas Hill Country. Amenities include a playground, exercise equipment and a park store.
— Ennis Luxury RV Resort in Ennis: This new resort offers swimming, a club house, a dog park, as well as dry cleaning, mobile RV wash, and massage services. The park is also only
1,100 feet from a Buc-ee’s location.
— Great Escapes RV Resorts: Great Escapes is an expanding network of family friendly camping, glamping and RV destinations in Texas with resort-style swimming pools, organized activities, sports courts, as well as fitness, private event centers and dog parks. Great Escapes currently has RV resorts in Bryan, Cedar Creek and Perrin, some of which have unique amenities. The Bryan location complements its resort-style pool with a floating obstacle course, and wet and wild hayrides. The Perrin location has a floating obstacle course, three swimming pools, a splash pad, and wet and wild wagon rides. Great Escapes is also building four more resorts in Texas, including one in Elgin, two in Austin and one in San Antonio.
— Loyd Park in Grand Prairie: Loyd Park is a 791-acre recreation area located in the middle of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex on the west shore of Joe Pool Lake, featuring 221 campsites, several lakefront cabins, multiple yurts, and an 18-room lodge. Built on a site with large, majestic oak trees just a few steps from Joe Pool Lake, Loyd Park Lodge features a fully-furnished kitchen, a covered porch with rocking chairs, a barbecue grill, a fire pit, big screen TVs, and Wi-Fi.
— Northlake Village RV Park in Roanoke: This big rig-friendly park offers large RV sites with full hookups, concrete patios and shade trees, a beautiful swimming pool and fitness center, a bathhouse with private showers and dressing rooms, laundry facilities, a children’s playground, an off-leash dog park with a covered sitting area, and LP gas services.
— Oakdale RV Resort & Motor Court in Glen Rose: This park, which features RV and tent sites as well as rental accommodations, opened in 1925 as a campground and motor court, built around the 330,000-gallon Oakdale Plunge, the largest swimming pool in Texas at that time, according to the park’s owners. Oakdale is one of only a handful of private RV parks in the country listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A historic dance hall building with enough tables and chairs to seat up to 400 people is used for family reunions, weddings, quinceañeras, RV rallies, music concerts, and dances. Plans are in the works for regularly scheduled dances and an occasional roller-skating return to celebrate the park’s 100th anniversary in 2025. Park amenities include a fire pit, an outdoor stage, a grill by the swimming pool and a dog park.
Pecan Park Riverside RV Park, San Marcos, Texas
— Pecan Park Riverside RV Park in San Marcos: Located on a scenic bluff overlooking the San Marcos River, this park is a popular location for river tubing enthusiasts. The campground, which has access to nature trails, has 116 spacious RV sites, many of which are shaded by mature pecan trees. Premium sites feature gas barbecue grills. Amenities include an indoor swimming pool and hot tub, Jacuzzi tubs and two off leash dog parks, a children’s playground, and children’s library area.
— Pioneer Beach RV Resort in Port Aransas: This park features RV sites and cabins. Amenities include two swimming pools, a hot tub, a recreation hall and game room, a dog run, a birding pond with ducks, spoonbills, and cranes, and a private boardwalk to the beach.
— The Retreat at Shady Creek in Aubrey: This new park has many amenities, including a swimming pool with a tanning ledge, a gym and fitness center, a putting green, a pickleball court, a catch-and-release fishing pond, a pet park, outdoor kitchen facilities, and a barbecue gazebo with a community grill.
— The Vineyards Campground and Cabins in Grapevine: This campground occupies 52 acres of an 850-acre, mostly wooded, scenic area encircling Grapevine Lake. The park offers RV sites with concrete pads as well as furnished cabins. Amenities include cable television and upgraded Wi-Fi service and a pavilion, as well as kayak and bicycle rentals.
The Vineyards of Fredericksburg RV Park in Texas
— The Vineyards of Fredericksburg RV Park in Fredericksburg: This park complements its big rig friendly RV sites with glamping wagons with fire pits at every campsite. Amenities include a swimming pool and Jacuzzi, a gym, disc golf, an off-leash dog park, volleyball, bocce ball and a playground with a tire swing and rock climbing wall. The park also has an outdoor pavilion with charcoal and gas grills and a fire pit for gatherings. Valet trash pickup is available every day.
— Trader's Village RV Park in Houston: This big rig-friendly park has level concrete pads and is adjacent to Trader’s Village, which features weekend flea markets, shopping, rides and special events. Park amenities include a swimming pool, restrooms and showers, laundry facilities, a recreation hall, an ATM, and propane service.
— Twisted Parrot Luxury RV Resort in Montgomery: This RV resort offers RV sites and luxury RV rentals, as well as special access to Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe.
