If you are traveling north or south through California and you haven’t stayed at the Bakersfield RV Resort, now is the time. The resort opened six years ago and is becoming a favorite resort for many travelers. With its great location, it’s the perfect place to stop and relax. Stay for the night and you’ll want to stay longer. The staff at the resort is friendly and goes out of their way to make your stay a pleasant one. The front desk will encourage you to save your appetite for the on-site restaurant because once settled in to your site, you will want to visit the Crest Bar & Grill or have them deliver to your coach.
The Bakersfield RV Resort is centrally located in California. Its proximity to the coast, Yosemite, the Sequoia’s, Los Angeles and San Francisco make the Bakersfield RV Resort a perfect location. While in Bakersfield you can visit one of the 3 race tracks including the new NASCAR Kern County Raceway, Famoso for drag racing or the Bakersfield speedway for dirt track racing. Kick up your heels with some country western dancing at the Buck Owens Crystal Palace or have fun cheering on the hero and booing the villain at the Gaslight Melodrama. There’s plenty to do and the registration desk can help you with suggestions.
After enjoying a delicious meal from the Crest Bar & Grill, you might want to take a dip in the large swimming pool, which is heated year round, or soak in the spa. You can also check out the fitness center or putting green. You can stop by the registration desk and take advantage of the free movie rental. The resort has a certified massage therapist, laundry mat, internet café and lounge, newly updated state of the art Wi-Fi, cable TV, general store, and coach side delivery from the Crest which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week.
The clubhouse attracts RV rallies with its 3,000 square-foot clubhouse that can seat 200. Everything needed for hosting meetings and events is there. The clubhouse offers a complete kitchen with three ovens, a six-burner range, freezer and icemaker and a commercial refrigerator. Groups can enjoy catering from the Crest or prepare their own meals. There is also a media center with an overhead projector and eight-speaker audio system.
The family–owned and operated business sits on 18 acres. The Patterson family takes great pride in the Bakersfield RV Resort, which has a total of 215 sites with full hook-ups, cable TV, and Wi-Fi at each site. There are 70-foot pull-through sites for big rigs and paved roads that allow for a wide turning radius. Each site has a cement slab, a grassy area and room for multiple slide-outs. The Patterson family’s dedication has earned them recognition in the 2013 Good Sam RV Travel Guide Directory as one of the top 100 snowbird parks and as one of the nation’s top 100 RV parks. They want you to feel at home while visiting and they look forward to meeting you.
When checking in don’t forget to pick up your cookies - baked fresh every day in the restaurant - and each morning you can catch up on the news with a complimentary newspaper available at the registration desk.
