RVers are travel-savvy. Researching resources and following instincts to find unique places of interest comes naturally. The Peachland RV Park in BC’s Okanagan Valley is by no means hard to find but guests have been pleasantly surprised by its serene location, number of services, and eventful social activities.
This is one of the newer RV Parks in the region and is located in Peachland between Kelowna and Penticton off Hwy 97. It’s a four-season destination ideally suited to experience all of the year-round activities and attractions.
“RVers regularly tell us the campground is ‘like a hidden gem’ that they have just come across,”says Angie Braun, the managing partner of the Peachland RV Park with her husband Dan. “Some guests who just plan short-term stays commonly extend their visit.”
An easy drive from Hwy 97 to Hwy 97C, Peachland RV Park spans 8 ha (20 ac) with 81 sites. All include power, water, sewer, and wifi, but their exceptional size makes them (and the park) appealing for new and returning RVers.
There’s ample space to accommodate a picnic table and fire pit without feeling cramped and all are big rig-friendly. For motorsports enthusiasts, they can easily fit a few quads with space remaining for outdoor furniture, a barbecue, mountain bikes and other larger essentials.
They are also well-spaced apart to ensure some privacy and the rich surrounding forest adds another element of peacefulness. All sites are close to the four-season laundry, washroom and shower facilities, new dog run, and playground.
Despite its quaint location, this destination park is no secret among RVers. It has an average capacity of 80 percent through the summer with guests coming, going, and even staying during the winter months.

The park is open all four seasons and is a viable choice for RVers passing through the area or staying in the winter.
“Since we opened in July 2021, some visitors now reserve a site for the entire summer to November before going south as it’s so quiet and isolated,” says Braun. “Many also enjoy the park and the region through the winter.”
Of course, temperatures get cool through the winter. Still, conditions remain comfortable to go alpine skiing at nearby Big White and Silver Star. RVers also take advantage of the extensive cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling trails that run through the park and throughout the Okanagan.
Winter is a special time here. When summer ends, the seasonal social events start as early as October with festive Thanksgiving celebrations and best-dressed RV contests at Halloween, followed by a snowbird’s welcome ‘winterfest potluck dinner’ and New Year’s Eve fireworks. Regular communal bonfires and a full social calendar ensure a vibrant, friendly atmosphere.

Festive events and socials are popular in the winter.
One of the recent developments for 2023/2024 is an available RV rental guest accommodation, which is a four-season, four-person 9 m (30-plus ft) Venture RV SportTrek Touring Edition travel trailer, providing stylish accommodations for guests or those who just want to try the RV lifestyle.
“We have established a friendly community in a beautiful setting that can be enjoyed all year,” says Braun. “It’s ideal for snowbirds who stay north of the border for the winter and prefer a quiet, isolated atmosphere with access to services, amenities, outdoor recreation and local attractions. These are just some of the main reasons why we have become so popular and see RVers return every year.”
