Holiday Trails Resorts
In business for almost 40 years, and starting with just 21 sites, Holiday Trails Resorts is now Canada’s largest RV camping network and has recently confirmed what visitors to it’s RV Resorts have suspected. There is a substantial amount of new infrastructure and services being invested back into the six Holiday Trails RV Resorts.
Over 1.5 million dollars will have been spent on improvements to infrastructure, equipment, and service at all the outlets since the spring of 2016. According to Kevin Demers, Holiday Trails Resorts’ owner, “These investments will improve the onsite experience for RVers and campers. Our goal is to have the best outdoor product and to offer the best quality experience for our guests.”
At each of the Holiday Trails RV Resorts guests will notice changes that have taken place over the last few years:
- At Camperland in Bridal Falls, a new pool has been added to the Vista area, so guests don’t need to walk to the main pool for a cool dip. As well, a new floor has been installed in the Member’s Clubhouse. Next door at their Bridal Falls Waterpark attraction, there is a new rubber surface making it much safer and easier to walk on.
- Sunshine Valley RV Resort has a new maintenance shop and ATV wash station. In addition, HTR donated a fire hall and fire truck to the Sunshine Valley community.
- Country Maples on Vancouver Island has a new floor, pool and electrical upgrades as well as Wi-Fi improvements.
- In Alberta, Lethbridge’s Bridgeview RV Resort received a new tractor to groom the sites better, and Drumheller’s Dinosaur Trail RV Resort has had significant work with new washrooms, a new fence, kitchen improvements as well as a new work truck and tractor. This summer HTR will also introduce six camping cabins to Dinosaur Trail RV Resort.
Besides the noticeable changes in the physical layouts, guests will not likely notice a new point of sale software system that has been installed in the retail area to meet the new standards for customer information, security, business data and ease of sale. This is in addition to the newer online booking system that allows guests to make reservations for any of the RV Resorts from the comfort of their home or RV.
Another company wide revolution is the continued installation and upgrading of a sophisticated Wi-Fi system at all the RV Resorts. HTR has partnered with TengoInternet to bring an industry leading Wi-Fi network to the parks, which means a better experience when accessing the web. The system allows the user to get free Wi-Fi in certain locations at all the RV Resorts, or allows our guests options to purchase a premium Wi-Fi service at their site.
While owner Kevin Demers will continue in his role as President, and a crew of very experienced RV Park managers will continue, there has been a new team member added. He has brought on Don Sharpe as the new Vice President, Resort Operations. Sharpe has made the move from Vancouver Island, where he was with Mount Washington Alpine Resort for the past 17 years. Demers added “he has provided direction for many facets of the Island Resort’s businesses and I can already see he is bringing a new and exciting perspective to our day to day RV business, as well as the marketing for the Holiday Trails RV Resorts.”
While anyone can stay at any of the resorts, Holiday Trails Resorts also offers RVers the opportunity to buy a membership, which offers significant privileges at a multitude of camping areas, including reciprocal agreements with other RV resorts across North America. More information on how to become an HTR member is available at http://www.holidaytrailsresorts.com/membership/. Purchases can be made online, over the phone, or by visiting the head office in Rosedale.
