2017 Tennessee RV Camping Guide
Tennessee Assoc. of RV Parks & Campgrounds
Travelers can request free copies of the 2017 Tennessee RV Camping Guide by visiting www.CampInTennessee.com. The guide lists 89 mostly privately owned and operated campgrounds, RV parks and resorts, as well as several state park campgrounds. “We also expect to have a mobile-friendly, digital version of the guide available by spring break,” said Jimmy Felton, executive director of the Tennessee Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds, which markets the state’s privately owned and operated campgrounds.
The guide is divided into three regions, including the Eastern region, which includes the Smoky Mountains; the Central region, which is home to Nashville, the Grand Ole Opry and country music; and the Western region, which is the home of barbecue country and the gateway to the Mississippi River. 55,000 copies of the camping guide have been produced.
“We are within an eight hour drive of probably 70 percent of the U.S. population,” Felton said, noting the Great Smoky Mountain National Park is the most visited national park in the country. And since Tennessee borders eight states, there are plenty of feeder markets to complement local demand for campsites and rental cabins at Tennessee ’s campgrounds.
The 2017 Tennessee RV Camping Guide will be distributed at Welcome Centers as well as RV shows across the state. The Tennessee guide is featured in other state camping guides in a reciprocal program pioneered by Texas Advertising.
