Typically it’s the view that takes your breath away while visiting parks and historic sites. Bootleg Canyon Park in the historic town of Boulder City, NV will do that – and more. In August of 2008, Flightlinez was opened to the public to assist in preserving Bootleg Canyon Park. The park is home to more than 40,000 big horn sheep, 36 miles of mountain biking trails and centuries of history. The primary goal building in Bootleg Canyon was to promote and preserve the beautiful Mojave Desert and Boulder City – a cultural and natural oasis just 38 kms from the Las Vegas Strip.
Flightlinez is rightly called flight, as the experience is much more about flying than zipping. The drops, the speed and the exhilaration are of course fantastic, but what makes Flightlinez such an unforgettable experience is their ability to incorporate a trail that truly illustrates nature. When people talk about ziplines in today’s world they normally mention fastest, longest and highest depending upon the location, design and company. But only Flightlinez Bootleg Canyon consistently earns the title of ‘most spectacular’ and ‘unlike any other’ from its riders.
Guests are treated to breathtaking views, as they are led through an entertaining and educational tour of the history, ecology and geology of Bootleg Canyon. Guests will feel the adrenaline as they soar through the air over 1.5 miles over the Mojave Desert at exhilarating speeds up to 60 MPH.
In addition to zipping through the air the park is well known for it’s mountain biking and hiking trails where you can also keep your eyes toward the skies bird watching or spotting the occasional paraglider!
You can add a downtown excursion of the historic district to your tour, giving you two hours to roam through Boulder City enjoying the shops, eateries, local brewery and historic Hoover Dam Museum.
For a day that’s sure to take your breath away in many ways, visit Bootleg Canyon Park to enjoy a bike, a hike and a flight.
