Overnight at the Zoo
There are plenty of good reasons to visit Discovery Wildlife Park (DWP), nestled in the town of Innisfail, AB. Awesome animals, friendly staff, unbelievable animal presentations, photos with our movie star bears and now, there is one more!
DWP has added a 30 stall campground to their facility this year, to make it easier for RV’ers to relax and enjoy the amenities of the Park. You can visit with our many orphaned animals and take in all of our interactive, animal presentations every day and now, you can also camp overnight in the zoo!
Not only can you enjoy the wildlife during the day, but you can enjoy them at night as well. Each evening, weather permitting, there will be an animal encounter at the campsite. You can meet the keepers, see the animals up close and have your questions answered by our professional and friendly staff.
The campground is gated and locked at night for security reasons, but you can still experience the night sounds of the animals! You must be self-contained - there is no power, no water and no sewer – just a lot of FUN!
This is the first and only zoo in Canada to offer overnight camping – it will be an experience your family will not forget. Please call for more information or for reservations 403-227-3211. Our zoo is open from May 1 to Thanksgiving Day (Oct 12, 2015).
