Complement this with fully furnished cabins and cozy nature pods featuring kitchenettes and full bathrooms, alongside two refreshing swimming pools, a rejuvenating spa pool, illuminated pickleball courts, and rejuvenating yoga sessions. Welcome to Skye Texas Hill Country Resort—a new haven of natural luxury that opened its doors on March 18.
As the sole resort in the greater Fredericksburg area with vacancies for the upcoming eclipse, as confirmed by the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce, it promises an unparalleled celestial experience amidst pristine comfort.
“We expect to fill up our RV sites, cabins and pods rather quickly once people find out we’re open,” said Adam Evans, the resort’s general manager. “Here you experience the eclipse unimpeded in the most natural setting.”
Not only is Skye Texas Hill Country Resort the perfect location to see the eclipse, Evans thinks people will fall in love with the resort and make it their “go to” escape in the Texas Hill Country.
“This is a place where you can see deer and other wildlife in the morning and hear the calls of dozens of species of birds flying overhead or resting in the shade of our beautiful oak trees,” Evans said, noting that Skye Texas Hill Country Resort spans 250-acres of pastures, woods and vineyards in the Texas Hill Country.
“We are just outside Fredericksburg where one can enjoy the tranquility of a rural setting, enjoy the stars and dark skies at night, hear the howls of coyotes, yet in 15 minutes one can be in Fredericksburg and enjoy all that it is has to offer,” Evans said.
Whilst the resort was built in its own slice of nature, it is close enough to town for guests to easily access the culinary, vinicultural and outdoor recreation experiences well-known to visitors to Fredericksburg.
“Guests can go horseback riding nearby, take a tour of a bison ranch or book rock climbing adventures nearby. We even have a professor who will come to the park to provide private astronomy talks,” Evans said, adding that guests can sign up for these experiences through the park’s website or onsite concierge service.
To round out the guest experience, the resort has also identified private chefs who are willing to come to the resort to prepare meals for guests at their campsite. Pickleball, bocce ball and shuffleboard courts are also available along with stylish bathhouse facilities known at the resort as Soak Hauses.
Skye Texas Hill Country Resort also has its own vineyards, growing six different varieties of grapes.
“This is a place where you can truly get away and relax, whether you are in an RV or want to experience our cabins and nature pods,” Evans said.
