‘Like My Rig’
Back in October, 4WDrive threw down this post on the Facebook page;

We tallied the results and our winner is Kyle Orriss. Here’s his story;
“I grew up in Penticton BC and after 15 years of trail wheeling the Okanagan in Toyota pickups and Jeeps it was time for a change. Over the years I’ve had the privilege of wheeling in Moab, the Rubicon trail and the Hammer trails of Johnson Valley. I ended up in Red Deer, AB entering local 4WD competitions which, kept getting harder and the crowd I was wheeling with just kept going faster.
As a result I needed to step up my rig. This is the first of 4 chassis built by Kore Manufacturing over the winter in 2010. It was a steep learning curve going from all OEM frame and body to building my first chassis. This buggy was built for the trails but also spends some time in competitions.
It’s a 4 seat chassis made with all 1.75” x 0.120 wall DOM tubing. The drive train consists of a full roller 383 cubic inch small block Chevy that generates 475HP with a Fast Fuel Injection set up. It has a T-400 transmission and a twin stick 205 transfer case. The wheelbase is 112” and it only stands 76” tall with a 24” belly height.
The front axle is a Dana 60 with 5.38 gears, full spool and Yukon 4340 axle shaft and U-joints. In the back is a rear steer Dana 60 with the same goods as the front.
The steering is all PSC full hydraulic for front and rear with 2.5” double ended rams and Evolution Machine steering balls. The suspension is a triangulated 4-link front and rear with 2”, 7075 solid Aluminum links with 16 Evolution machine medium rod ends. It has 16” travel , 2.5” FOA coilovers and remote reservoir shocks on all 4 corners. The tires are grooved 44” Interco TSL on steel bead locks. “
