Elvis drives a HEMI Powered Jeep Rubicon
The hood was swapped out with an AEV Heat Extractor Hood, to help keep the mighty hemi nice & cool in tight quarters. We knew the diffs would give up the ghost with the Hemi in front of them, so the diffs were gusseted and thick aluminum covers were added to 4:56 gears, upgraded axle shafts & wheel u-joints.by Blaine Schacher
This project had interesting beginnings. Elvis Fifield is a great customer of ours and we’ve built several other vehicles for him including a two door jeep. Elvis decided that a 4 door 2010 Rubicon better suited his style so he purchased the rig and left it stock….well for 2600 km. That’s when he drowned the rig and ruined the motor. To quote Elvis “we aren’t putting that same crap back in…!!!” So it was Hemi conversion time. While doing the hemi swap we also added a 6.5” BDS long arm suspension kit, PSC hydraulic assist steering, Bushwacker flares, Smittybilt bumpers & a Warn winch. The hood was swapped out with an AEV Heat Extractor Hood, to help keep the mighty hemi nice & cool in tight quarters. We knew the diffs would give up the ghost with the Hemi in front of them, so the diffs were gusseted and thick aluminum covers were added to 4:56 gears, upgraded axle shafts & wheel u-joints. You can’t take out a pretty girl like this in an old pair of shoes so she was dressed up with Fuel Off-Road rims wrapped in 37” Interco SSM tires.
Well, 30,000 km later this Rubicon has been a MONSTER!! When Elvis isn’t wheeling or pulling his boat, he is doing massive burnouts or cruising with the top down & all 4 doors off. Once sick rig!
