G3 Boats reached agreements with Simrad and with Lowrance to provide electronics for navigation and for fishfinding for 2018.
Simrad’s GO XSE displays will be standard equipment on 2018 SunCatcher X Series, Elite Series and Diamond Elite pontoon boats. The GO5 XSE displays will be included on the X Series while the GO7 XSE will be on Elite series boats and the Diamond Elite model pontoons will feature the GO9 XSE.
“Technology continues to play an important role in customer satisfaction in the pontoon market,” G3 Boats director of marketing Roger Bills said in a statement. “G3 Boats is proud to partner with Navico to add the outstanding performance of Simrad electronics to our SunCatcher brand of pontoon boats.”
All GO XSE models feature a display with touchscreen controls, split-screen views, customizable panel layouts and clearly captioned icons. They also have CHIRP sonar, a 10 Hz GPS receiver, integrated wireless connectivity, Tripintel trip-planning technology and a wide selection of cartography.
For fishermen, the 2018 Sportsman Series of boats from G3 will feature Lowrance Hook fishfinder/chartplotter displays. They have the SolarMAX display, Advanced Signal Processing, Trackback, Broadband and CHIRP sonar. The combination units also have built-in GPS antenna and detailed mapping of U.S. lakes and rivers. Hook displays are compatible with a range of mapping options including C-MAP Lake Insight, C-MAP Genesis, C-MAP MAX-N+ and Navionics HotMaps Premium and Fishing HotSpots Pro.
“Hook and G3 Boats are a perfect match, both bringing high-quality performance to anglers and greatly enhancing their time on the water,” Navico CEO Leif Ottosson said in a statement. “We couldn’t be more excited about G3 Boats’ decision to include Hook displays as part of the standard package for their well-known Sportsman Series.
