The Kootenay Rockies is an amazingly beautiful land of clear, clean rivers, lakes, and waterfalls; beaches, mineral hot springs, alpine and foothill meadows and rugged, snow-crusted mountains. Four of British Columbia's seven national parks are located here. Favourite past times here include: canoeing, boating, wind-surfing & whitewater rafting... Not to mention the hundreds of world-renowned prime fishing spots on River and Lake.
The region is bordered by Alberta to the east, the Cariboo Chilcotin to the north, the Thompson Okanagan to the west and Idaho and Montana the south.
